Taylor Richards & Conger was selected once again by the Italian Trade Commission to host a prestigious event promoting Italy’s influence in our lives, its products and lifestyles. “Italy in Motion,” a three-day celebration was the result. “We were extremely honored to be selected as one of the best in the country to host this event in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission,” says Richard Pattison, Taylor Richards & Conger partner. The Italian Trade Commission has bestowed this top honor four times in the last 12 years on the 22 year old company.

There were exclusive trunk shows by Italian designers including Brunello Cucinelli, Canali, Caruso, Nicky, Truzzi and Valentini. Unique selections of Italian modes of transportation were on display. Foreign Cars Italia and Privatus had several exotic cars on site. Cool Breeze Cyclery exhibited exclusive cycles by Pinarello, and Vespa of Charlotte had several Vespas on display.

TRC-W, Taylor Richards & Conger’s sister shop for women, also participated in this event with a trunk show featuring the luxurious products of Brunello Cucinelli.

Il Posto provided Italian cuisine throughout the April 24 through April 26 event. Customers registered at the store to win free Italian clothing for men and women and vintage Italian posters. An invitation only cocktail party kicked off “Italy in Motion” on Thursday, April 24th where Tryon Distributing and Ruth’s Chris Steak House provided fine Italian wines.
